What workspaces are for

Workspaces let you separate distinct groups or projects. A city council might have one workspace per committee. An organisation might have one per department. Sessions, members, and permissions are all scoped to a workspace.

Creating a workspace

Admin only.
  1. Go to Admin → Workspaces
  2. Click New Workspace
  3. Enter a name
  4. Click Create
The workspace is now visible to admins. Members won’t see it until they’re added.

Adding members

  1. Open the workspace
  2. Go to Members
  3. Click Invite Member
  4. Enter their email address
  5. They’ll receive an invite link
Alternatively, share the workspace join link directly. See Workspace Join Flow for what happens when they click it.

Pinning workspaces

Members can pin workspaces they use frequently. Pinned workspaces appear at the top of the dashboard with their most recent sessions. To pin: open a workspace → click the pin icon (top right of the workspace card). Pinning is per-user — pinning a workspace for yourself doesn’t affect what others see.

Workspace dashboard

The dashboard shows:
  • Pinned workspaces with recent sessions
  • Live session banner — if any session in your workspaces is actively recording, a banner appears at the top of the dashboard with a link to the moderator view

Session organisation

Sessions are listed chronologically within a workspace. There’s no sub-folder structure — use clear session titles to keep things organised (e.g. “Committee A — Budget Review — May 2026”).

Removing members

Admin only. Go to Workspace → Members → Remove next to the member’s name. They immediately lose access to all sessions in that workspace.
